About Me
Hello!
The names Reuelz, and I will start with the basics. I was born in the year 1999, in the South American nation of Guyana. I lived there for five years, before moving with my parents over to the United Kingdom. Even as a child, I would grab empty cans and biscuit tins, pickup to pencils and, ‘play drums’. One of my earlier musical memories was at Tiverton High school, playing the piano and performing with my mates, in front of the class. While our coordination and arrangement left much to be desired, I remember coming away from it with the personal satisfaction that music was something I could potential get behind.
Although South American, myself and my countries culture is very much Caribbean, which is reflected in my music. I take inspiration from BassHall, Soca and Reggae, while Also taking inspiration from more ‘western’ music genres, that being, Progressive House, Bass House, Future Bass and even some early 2000s songs like Flo Rider – Club Cant Handle Me ft. David Guetta, one of my all time favorites.
I have been familiarizing myself with music production since 2019, played keyboard at a church for about a year, and while non-music related, topped my graduating class in Arts and Design, so I guess I’ve always had that creative ability. While I know I have much to learn, I was recently given the push I needed, to start my professional journey. I wish to learn and grow alongside the wider musical and professional community, while sharing my knowledge and helping others as well.
